@|||ST I've tried it, with 2 different pc/backpack combos. You can make it not completely suck but I'm not sure if it can really be comfortable.

If you have a big pack wear a chest rig imo

I can imagine it being not as bad on short excursions with light weight camping gear in temperate environments compared to arid or winter where one would require more wet weight and the latter would increase dry weight because of winter equipment

@|||ST that's more reasonable, winter jackets just exacerbate the issue. Even dealing with two sets of straps, chest rig and backpack, is annoying and can either chafe or cut off blood to your arms
