people really exaggerate how massive the difference between cheap AR and expensive AR is though

granted expensive ARs are hands down better

but a cheap AR is still better than almost any other rifle you could buy

shits on SKS, AK, etc

It's mostly quality of life features

even a PSA special will be pretty damn reliable

and plenty accurate for a newgunz

ive seen countless pics of cheapo ar builds with random parts broken with minimal effort, i.e psa bolt catch broken because they were trying to perform a bolt hold open, or anderson lower with a very much visible gap between receivers

but PSA at the very least is a good company and will help you out if you find something fucked during testing

I would say the cheapest brand I trust out the box for complete rifles is Aero tbh

shot my friends psa ar today, only thing i noticed that was weird was the bolt would have trouble staying locked to the rear other than that it was fine

I've had zero flaws with two different PSAs. I've had an improperly assembled Aero from the factory 🤷🏻‍♂️
It was a minor thing, albeit, but point is that anecdotes don't mean much.
