@Winter_Plane Communities die because they turn away new people. Ham radio was dying of old age, then Baofeng and cheap SDRs came along, and ham is alive again. Imagine if all the old hams had just hazed the Baofags. Ham would be dead. That's how any community works. People already think you're wierd for wanting, let alone owning, a plate carrier. Then you get this when you want to talk to people who actually like the same shit. I'll be surprised if, in ten years, the community around this stuff isn't even smaller unless things change. There might be better forums though, I haven't looked for them yet.
