I already have a functional enough ruck that I use almost every day

outside of backpacking I haven't hit any limits with it

I wish it had more pouches though

lots of pouches/organizer = lots of extra weight

I wouldn't go too overboard on pouches on a backpack. Better to organize things into stuff sacks internally and just have pouches for rapid access stuff
