If **anyone** can defend the “glorious” communist prison of Castro’s Cuba... please... do not hesitate
Rant over.
Wait
Didn't you say you lived in the United states on that other server?
Lmao
I live in the US but i have family in Cuba. I have visited them and seen your “glorious” communist haven
And we can talk about Guantanamo Bay another day because frankly, what the US does there does not affect how Cuba treats its people
>capitalism
>human rights

Nice a picture. Lets take it apart and inject some hard truths. just for the sake of arguments, i will even pretend that they dont modify numbers to make things seem better than they are because you’d have to be a complete moron to think they dont change numbers. Every tyrannical dictatorship changes statistical numbers to make is seem like their people are happy and healthy under their rule.
- Education related squares - they refuse to address the terrible child abuse employed by the government to achieve such statistics. The school system in Cuba isnt even that great. They learn to read and write but thats it. When cubans come to the United States with a degree in literally anything, it is equated to a high school diploma because of how low the education is. Very rarely does it equate to an American equivalent to an AA degree. Therefore it is much more easier to fund free education because the education is shit.
- Gender Equality squares - this has nothing to do with communism. Unless i missed a chapter of something. An economic system is not more gender accepting than other economic systems. That is purely social and cultural decisions that have very little if anything to do with economics. At the very least, they fact that so many men are being sent to prison camps for voicing discontent will open the door for more women to take their roles in society. And thats a bit *if*.
- The health squares - the majority of these vaccines came with massive support from China and the former Soviet Union. And just because they participate in foreign aid missions doesn’t mean they are the ones who led or had a crucial role in that effort. They could literally send one person and they will be counted as assisting the cause. Just like many other nations do. Norway and Sweden sent i think a total of 10 people (max) to help the US in their wars of the Middle East and yet they are considered to be as participating in these actions.
- Living standards - this is literally laughable. In every essence. The low unemployment rate (if its true) could only be achieved by people being forced to take jobs that they don’t want. It also limits the possibilities for innovation because as more technology emerges, people loose their jobs to that technology which would cause unemployment to rise. This is a major role as to why there is extremely low development on the island even though they are close allies of China. This also fails to even address the horrific poverty that has fallen onto the island even thought they have been aided by the Soviet Union, Venezuela, and China.
And if you want to debate the military actions of the US in Syria, we can. But once again. That has absolutely nothing to do with Cuba’s horrific human rights violations due to communism and tyrannical dictatorship.
Yeah I don't know what to say
I respect the fact you are honest
Most would just make up some BS
Most people don't consider Cuba a communist state though
Well.... Me, my cuban family, cuban friends, basically the entire cuban american community in the city of Miami, and even my family in Cuba all firmly agree it is communism. Even the people who support the regime in Cuba (due to brainwashing by the government) agree it is communism
And that was after you defended Cuba as being a communist nation
It calls itself a Communist country. But it is actually a country with State Capitalism in which the government owns the means of production and retains the earnings of the workers for the most part. And the government is operated as a dictatorship.
Cuba does not follow the ten planks of Communism… there is social class disparity, money, private property, they manage their tourism in USD, the government doesn’t provide them with basic needs… I can keep counting
It’s a failed state. Not a communist one
Wait wait wait.... what?
You literally just tried to convince me that Cuba provided healthcare and education systems that you also claimed was of good quality. Now you’re saying they don’t provide that.... what exactly is your view on it? Do they provide basic needs or not?
(I love how you deleted your former comment that started this whole thing. Good thing i took a screenshot of is)
You also said there was “no excess of poverty or opulence” which is equal to social class disparity. Once again... which one is it? Do they have social class disparity or not?
Screenshot for reference
I don't remember ever defending Cuba as a communist country
You are defending their communist government, communist practices, communist “achievements”, and you were responding to my direct attacks against the Communist leader and its communist government.
Just using basic critical thinking will allow anyone to see that you were defending them as a communist nation.
You even made an attack against capitalism which only reinforces the inference that you were arguing this on the basis of communism and its functionality because you tried to bring a comparison between capitalism. A very strange attack if i may add which had no real value to the arguments.
It might've been a person mimicking my account
Right.
Are you gonna go with that one
You sure
I seemed to have attempted to ping the right person
Definitely the same person
Hmm. Strange is it not?
You can change your little numbers
