TVP recently commented on the cover of Time magazine, which the title of the Man of the Year was awarded to Greta Thunberg. In the "So many visions" program with 16-year-old they compared other winners - including Hitler and Stalin. And now TVP has announced its own competitive title Person of the Year.
The internal competition of TVP won the Bełchatów Power Station - the world's largest coal-fired power plant producing energy from lignite and the largest carbon dioxide emitter in Poland.
Jacek Kurski explained on Twitter that the Bełchatów Power Plant, of course, is only symbolically a person, but it is she who best represents Polish values and a native attitude to "hysterical ecoterrorism".
- Time can claim titles for disturbed 16-year-old truancy. TVP per person of the year has chosen a solid, hard-working coal power plant for 44 years - announced the president of Polish Television.
- Not only does it literally produce energy for us, but also metaphorically gives Poles energy to fight leftist propaganda - he added.
