Yeah I am looking at estimates. reading up on it and it seems they do it one eye at a time

2020-01-20 11:16:56 UTC

Yeah they like to charge per eye

2020-01-20 11:17:13 UTC

Has to do with the longer recovery time

2020-01-20 11:17:17 UTC

But the actual procedure they do both eyes

2020-01-20 11:17:41 UTC

It takes literally less than 10 minutes for them to do it

2020-01-20 11:17:52 UTC

2 to 3 week painful recovery and done

2020-01-20 11:18:03 UTC

Oh wow, fuck me want to know the cheapest cost for it here?

2020-01-20 11:18:09 UTC

Yeah

2020-01-20 11:18:15 UTC

$4k

2020-01-20 11:18:21 UTC

Wtf that’s insane

2020-01-20 11:18:33 UTC

Well its KY so...

2020-01-20 11:18:37 UTC

I got mine done in South Carolina

2020-01-20 11:18:51 UTC

I wonder how TN is

2020-01-20 11:21:10 UTC

Yeah here for Lasik or PRK, its a little over $2000 per eye

2020-01-20 11:22:49 UTC

I asked her and she said price has went up randomly the past 2 years

2020-01-20 11:23:08 UTC

Almost nationwide

2020-01-20 11:23:21 UTC

The place I got it done for 1.5 is now 3

2020-01-20 11:23:59 UTC

Typical running of over pricing on medical procedures in low income/poverty areas is typical because since fewer people can afford to have them done they have to make up the difference by over charging those than can.

2020-01-20 11:25:44 UTC

Sounds about right

2020-01-20 11:26:06 UTC

Seriously our Medicare system is fucked up.

2020-01-20 12:40:39 UTC

I had lasik 3 years ago. Cost about 5k total. I went to Annapolis, big company. Kinda figured this isnt a good idea to find the lowest bidder lol

2020-01-20 23:20:55 UTC

I got 2 for ya what's an israeli bandage, and is liquid bandage worth giving the time of day?

2020-01-20 23:21:50 UTC

Okay so Israeli bandage is a ETB, emergency trauma bandage. It’s a pressure dressing

2020-01-20 23:22:02 UTC

So say someone’s got a laceration on their arm

2020-01-20 23:22:08 UTC

It’s not an arterial bleed

2020-01-20 23:22:16 UTC

But still bleeding a good bit

2020-01-20 23:22:36 UTC

You can put an ETB sometimes called an Israeli bandage on it

2020-01-20 23:22:47 UTC

And it will put direct pressure and help stop the bleeding

2020-01-20 23:23:19 UTC

Liquid bandages are only good for minor cuts

2020-01-20 23:40:56 UTC

It's good to have a few etb and tourniquets on your person when in boog.

2020-01-20 23:41:17 UTC

Or in your pack if it's just a regular day
