Different regulations for different MOS. We didn't really have any regulations like that. The higher ups just said that we had to follow the US military standards...did not specify which standards...and we(me) abused the hell out of it.

Have to be able to wear an oxygen mask now. When I flew helos we were allowed to grow beards on deployment

Does the beard actually interfeir with the Oxy mask? I am trying to remember if I ever wore my gasmask when I was sporting the beard.
