2020-01-16 16:05:45 UTC

Esee 5 is my field knife

2020-01-16 16:05:54 UTC

Esee 3 for edc

2020-01-16 16:05:56 UTC

I have a buddy that does but it’s a tiny blade and we haven’t ever discussed it

2020-01-16 16:06:07 UTC

Takes some getting used too

2020-01-16 16:06:31 UTC

I made a holster for my glock that had a built in sheath for it

2020-01-16 16:06:34 UTC

Yea but so does strapping a firearm at appendix carry, I’ll get used to it

2020-01-16 16:06:41 UTC

That’s pretty neat

2020-01-16 16:06:53 UTC

Redneck engineering

2020-01-16 16:07:25 UTC

^ was too expensive to but the custom options so I just did it myself with a DIY setup.

2020-01-16 16:07:59 UTC

Love it. Send pics if you ever get a chance

2020-01-16 16:08:10 UTC

Will do

2020-01-16 16:08:24 UTC

I’m about to get a new alien gear holster when I get my TLR-1 in

2020-01-16 16:08:26 UTC

Can’t have my personal weapon down here so it’s currently at my house

2020-01-16 16:08:39 UTC

Yea I get that

Here’s a good bag for waterproofing

2020-01-16 16:10:39 UTC

Wtf they make a 55L version now

2020-01-16 16:13:02 UTC

I keep food and my sleeping bag in it

2020-01-16 16:13:09 UTC

A change of clothes aswell

2020-01-16 16:15:28 UTC

Shit 55L is nice. I own my own canoe and kayak so I have a few dry bags but not a fucking 55L bag

2020-01-16 16:18:56 UTC

I have one of these bags for my kayak lol

2020-01-16 16:21:27 UTC

Kayaks are the best man

2020-01-16 16:21:57 UTC

You can get anywhere around the ozarks just with a kayak and map

2020-01-16 16:22:43 UTC

I love land navigation

2020-01-16 16:22:46 UTC

I’m good at it

2020-01-16 16:24:18 UTC

I took a week long leadership course at camp Robinson in North Little Rock, AR. One of the days consisted of a land nav course with various points in a 2 square mile grid. It one of my favorite days out there. Super fun stuff

2020-01-16 16:24:50 UTC

I got all the points correctly but it was basic land nav, I am interested in more advanced navigation

2020-01-16 16:25:25 UTC

I’m saying super basic land nav. Just pace setting and counting, military compass and map

2020-01-16 16:25:55 UTC

Ah

2020-01-16 16:26:03 UTC

Did you have to go through a lot of land nav for training

2020-01-16 16:26:09 UTC

I use terrain association 99% of the time

2020-01-16 16:26:29 UTC

We get a basic land nav class in basic training but when your in the real army you do a lot of land nav

2020-01-16 16:26:56 UTC

Night land nav is always interesting because to not allowed to use a light only when kneeling down with a red light to see the map

2020-01-16 16:27:23 UTC

That sounds frustrating as hell haha. I’m sure you’re pretty good at it then

2020-01-16 16:27:35 UTC

I’m decent at it.

2020-01-16 16:27:45 UTC

I’m comfortable doing it myself alone

2020-01-16 16:27:49 UTC

Night or day

2020-01-16 16:28:18 UTC

That’s a pretty good skill to have

2020-01-16 16:28:30 UTC

It’s also a skill you can loose if you don’t practice it
