Part of me wants the M17 from a collector's perspective

Due to it being a service pistol

Because to be honest I never had much interest in the P320 at first until it became adopted lol

I know the glock fanboys are shaking their fists and foaming at the mouth for not adopting the glock

idk would any of you say the P320 was the better choice in the end?

In terms of what the military wanted, yes. In terms of glock vs 320, yes. In terms of price...the sig I think was more expensive.

Was the SIG really more expensive? I thought SIG underbid their contract while glock's contract was more expensive

Yes and no. The Military will get the sig at a lower price per gun than in the civilian market. And Glock's contract bids are more expensive than the guns are actually worth because of Glocks ego. But the cost of the Sig contract I believe will cost them more than the Glock contract would have, but they are getting a better gun out of it.

I like glocks

Glocks are good pistols but I get annoyed when the glocktards act like they're the only pistols worth owning

They are not bad I like my g19, its not gonna replace my 92f as my favorite gun, but its not the Jesus Christ of firearms.

I didnt mind the M11s we flew with either. But I'd rather have had a G19 I think.

it is a every man gun that works well but there are guns that specialize in areas and lack i others

Not me, G19 not that reliable in filthy conditions, inherently unsafe and prone to NDs, and no matter how much they improve the polymer it still feels like a toy that would melt if I left it on the dash of my car on a hot day.

That's something I've been worried about if I got a G17 for my birthday

But I generally trust his gun judgement
