Part of me wants the M17 from a collector's perspective

2019-12-28 23:33:08 UTC

Due to it being a service pistol

2019-12-28 23:33:29 UTC

Because to be honest I never had much interest in the P320 at first until it became adopted lol

2019-12-28 23:35:11 UTC

I know the glock fanboys are shaking their fists and foaming at the mouth for not adopting the glock

2019-12-28 23:35:37 UTC

idk would any of you say the P320 was the better choice in the end?

2019-12-28 23:36:46 UTC

In terms of what the military wanted, yes. In terms of glock vs 320, yes. In terms of price...the sig I think was more expensive.

2019-12-28 23:37:34 UTC

Was the SIG really more expensive? I thought SIG underbid their contract while glock's contract was more expensive

2019-12-28 23:38:03 UTC

Which influenced the military's decision

2019-12-28 23:42:46 UTC

Yes and no. The Military will get the sig at a lower price per gun than in the civilian market. And Glock's contract bids are more expensive than the guns are actually worth because of Glocks ego. But the cost of the Sig contract I believe will cost them more than the Glock contract would have, but they are getting a better gun out of it.

2019-12-28 23:46:15 UTC

I guess glock has been surpassed in terms of "perfection" lol

2019-12-28 23:48:33 UTC

LOL the glock never has nor ever will be perfect.

2019-12-28 23:49:58 UTC

Yeah try telling the glocktards that lol

2019-12-28 23:50:11 UTC

I like glocks

2019-12-28 23:50:46 UTC

Glocks are good pistols but I get annoyed when the glocktards act like they're the only pistols worth owning

2019-12-28 23:51:07 UTC

They're like the Jehovah's witnesses of guns

2019-12-28 23:51:58 UTC

They are not bad I like my g19, its not gonna replace my 92f as my favorite gun, but its not the Jesus Christ of firearms.

2019-12-28 23:52:03 UTC

I didnt mind the M11s we flew with either. But I'd rather have had a G19 I think.

2019-12-28 23:52:40 UTC

the glock is like the ar 15 in my eyes
it is a every man gun that works well but there are guns that specialize in areas and lack i others

2019-12-28 23:54:03 UTC

Not me, G19 not that reliable in filthy conditions, inherently unsafe and prone to NDs, and no matter how much they improve the polymer it still feels like a toy that would melt if I left it on the dash of my car on a hot day.

2019-12-28 23:54:35 UTC

That's something I've been worried about if I got a G17 for my birthday

2019-12-28 23:54:39 UTC

Having an ND

2019-12-28 23:55:11 UTC

Yeah Glocks lack safeties making them prone to NDs.

2019-12-28 23:55:36 UTC

thats why i am a big fan of tang safeties

2019-12-28 23:55:43 UTC

Makes me wonder how British and Austrian troops handle them lol

2019-12-28 23:55:48 UTC

gotta have a good purchace on them

2019-12-28 23:55:51 UTC

Since their glocks don't have safeties

2019-12-28 23:56:26 UTC

I conceal carry a G43 daily

2019-12-28 23:56:33 UTC

Last I heard the brits packed the 226.

2019-12-28 23:56:35 UTC

💁‍♂️

2019-12-28 23:57:12 UTC

Yeah but I read the glock replaced the 226

2019-12-28 23:57:14 UTC

I think

2019-12-28 23:57:42 UTC

It also doesnt come in and out of the holster unless I'm at the range or ifngod forbid I actually had to use it.

2019-12-28 23:58:28 UTC

I’m a little late

2019-12-28 23:58:40 UTC

Good buddy of mine works r&d at sig

2019-12-28 23:58:53 UTC

He says the new rifle is dope

2019-12-28 23:58:57 UTC

Granted he’s biased

2019-12-28 23:59:09 UTC

Yeah the Brits use the G17 under the "L131A1" designation

2019-12-28 23:59:13 UTC

But I generally trust his gun judgement

2019-12-28 23:59:20 UTC

thats what my freind and glock said about the glock 44

2019-12-28 23:59:24 UTC

Well then I have been out of the loop for a while.

2019-12-28 23:59:46 UTC

I’m considering buying a glock 40 currently
