the end goal of communist is hyper individualism

2018-06-02 03:29:03 UTC

coupled with utopia

2018-06-02 03:29:10 UTC

Equality is certainly a good virtue, but it's not the driving force behind communism

2018-06-02 03:29:14 UTC

HardMan... wait

2018-06-02 03:29:18 UTC

individualism???

2018-06-02 03:29:22 UTC

From each according to their ability, to each according to ther need is a maxim that presumes a society sufficiently technologically advanced as to make scarcity irrelevant.

2018-06-02 03:29:25 UTC

thats like some Ayn Rand shit

2018-06-02 03:29:37 UTC

Fuck Individualism

2018-06-02 03:29:44 UTC

Ah so I see

2018-06-02 03:29:57 UTC

Individuality can be pretty cancerous sometimes, though it does depend.

2018-06-02 03:29:57 UTC

@Larry Skywalker individualism and collectivism aren't actually opposed to one another. This is a liberal lie and misconception

2018-06-02 03:30:03 UTC

The idea behind the abolishment of Capitalism, from a Marxist perspective, is not because Capitalism results in inequality and Socialism results in less, and Communism in the least.

2018-06-02 03:30:09 UTC

Thanos 🤔 please explain

2018-06-02 03:30:23 UTC

The idea is that Capitalism becomes unstable, untenable, and irrational.

2018-06-02 03:30:51 UTC

Capitalism is supposed to be unstable though.

2018-06-02 03:30:55 UTC

Companies die if they make shit products

2018-06-02 03:30:57 UTC

Marxism doesn't have a traditional philosophy of 'Justice' as conceived in liberal politics.

2018-06-02 03:31:13 UTC

I want garbage companies that don't give a shit about the consumer or the enviroment to die.

2018-06-02 03:31:28 UTC

It simply critically examines Capitalism and determines that it's untenable.

2018-06-02 03:31:39 UTC

In the long run, anyhow.

2018-06-02 03:31:40 UTC

Hi

2018-06-02 03:32:02 UTC

Individualism and collectivism aren't actually opposed to one another, the idea that they are is silly. One can be both individualist and collectivist. Self-interest ways plays a role, and it's not unreasonable to think that an individual would support collectivism because they see it as within their interests.

2018-06-02 03:32:21 UTC

Collective individualism

2018-06-02 03:32:25 UTC

Is the way to go

2018-06-02 03:32:33 UTC

"It is within my best interest to support the collective"

2018-06-02 03:32:38 UTC

ok Thanos i see what youre saying,

2018-06-02 03:32:44 UTC

Makes sense.

2018-06-02 03:32:50 UTC

I understand your sentiments regarding inherent instability of Capitalism driving companies to be better,

2018-06-02 03:32:53 UTC

If you aren't a centrist, you don't have a brain.

2018-06-02 03:33:02 UTC

But the myth of the efficiency of the market is simply untrue.

2018-06-02 03:33:04 UTC

2018-06-02 03:33:12 UTC

It'll also be further untenable as the role of capital becomes larger than labour.
