I see Russia very backwards. But there is a thing. There was communism right after feudalism. Many traditions are mixed. Sometimes the very backwards traditions and views go hand in hand with most progressive straight from the future. That is why it is hard to classify. Is a specific and unique culture.

And I think that more older Russian people had better knowledges then same people in Europe and US
