Vickers combat sling works great

You’ll have to excuse my ignorance on the topic of slings but is there some kind of clip dealy I can attach to a sling so I can attach it to this hole here

There should be, as well attaching one by the lever on the stock. Personally I prefer QD mounts, set up at both ends of the receiver

On a metal rail I would feel fine doing that. Not on a magpul or polymer base though.

I've mounted IR to both AK and AR. Best rail I've found for AK has been the ultimak. That opposed to the AR, which pretty much any aluminum or whatever rail, works. Even the cheap utg clamp on rail.

@wendiko look up zero for 7.62x39. I'd look up a ballistic chart for your weight of ammo, drop off you know, and zero it at the closest yardage that will arc into 300 aswell. That's about as good as that cartridge would do
