Alright gents. The topic of today is SAPI plates. I'm looking to purchase some in the near future and would like to know some good brands. Is AR500 just meme plates like I've been lead to believe?

I have hesco ceramics, ive had ceradyne, ive had spartan armor ar500 steel

Currently with hescos want steel for long term back up tho

So the carrier itself is for concealment pretty lowpro id imagine Morso when i get steelies. Has kevlar and an nsn wich means itd be approved for gov use

I run a chest rig with it as well ill post it ina sec plahin cod

So my loadout is 4 mags rifle 2 mags pistol, 1 smoke, lowlight markers, ir markers, ifak with some additions, compass, ir strobe, padlock, handcuff keys, distraction device and a snack

Currently rocking a MARCIRAS carrier but have an Aegis V2 being shipped

Steel will be cheapest ceramics are stronger and lighter but costlier

I'm going with ceramic. I dont keep much on my kit; just an IFAK, double stack magazine pouch, MBITR pouch and hydration pack. I try and go with as little as possible. Many of my buddies have started using a load bearing belt

Only thing ill rock on the belt will be my pistol, my vest has places for additional mags so i can go heavy whenever i want. I can keep my radio close to my body as well. Personally not a fan of belts because i dont have hips
