Example

2019-11-18 03:39:53 UTC

America isn't meant to be a DEMOCRACY for starters

2019-11-18 03:39:54 UTC

What do you suggest

2019-11-18 03:40:06 UTC

America is a republic

2019-11-18 03:40:14 UTC

We're a republic that got lost along the way

2019-11-18 03:40:33 UTC

Your right is that what you prefer is a republic

2019-11-18 03:40:43 UTC

(I'm sorry if it seems like I'm always shitting on you bud, it isn't my intention)

2019-11-18 03:40:55 UTC

No I didn’t take it that way

2019-11-18 03:41:01 UTC

Good

2019-11-18 03:41:04 UTC

I was genuinely curious too

2019-11-18 03:41:04 UTC

And yes

2019-11-18 03:41:25 UTC

I would prefer to go back to an actual republic

2019-11-18 03:41:40 UTC

Can you remind me how that works again

2019-11-18 03:41:43 UTC

Jeffersonian republicanism

2019-11-18 03:41:43 UTC

That would be nice

2019-11-18 03:42:07 UTC

Democratic republicans?

2019-11-18 03:42:24 UTC

@thedarkness05 take over bud

2019-11-18 03:42:29 UTC

2019-11-18 03:42:57 UTC

2019-11-18 03:42:59 UTC

2019-11-18 03:43:20 UTC

I don’t wanna make y’all work harder if u don’t want

2019-11-18 03:43:30 UTC

Normally I'd be down, but right now I'm physically and mentally exhausted lol

2019-11-18 03:43:40 UTC

I just wanted a quick answer

2019-11-18 03:43:43 UTC

I getcha

2019-11-18 03:43:54 UTC

So in a democracy its a straight vote, one per person on a subject, majority gets it passed

2019-11-18 03:44:33 UTC

Yea when I said democracy that’s what I guess I meant was a republic how it was designed to work

2019-11-18 03:44:47 UTC
2019-11-18 03:45:01 UTC

Aka jeffersonian democracy

2019-11-18 03:45:07 UTC

Gotcha

2019-11-18 03:45:39 UTC

(Side note, republicanism was looked how we view communism when it first popped up)

2019-11-18 03:45:40 UTC

Welp in other news I can start working on my ar again

2019-11-18 03:46:16 UTC

I’m reffing basketball on the side and earning some extra cash

2019-11-18 03:46:32 UTC

In a Republic representatives are elected that represent a certian people or interest, usually along geographic and political lines (which almost tend to follow a pattern but that bit is for another time). Wherein the representatives work for their constituents and come to a compromise or agreement. Basically so every side is heard and no one has ultimate power either in a majority or minority position

2019-11-18 03:46:41 UTC

Christmas is rolling around and I asked for money ar mags and 223

2019-11-18 03:46:59 UTC
2019-11-18 03:47:31 UTC

Yea that’s the way it’s meant to be

2019-11-18 03:47:47 UTC

Then there's federalism, and a bunch of other stuff. But you really should look into post Revolutionary war to see how the Founders did things. They failed too, as seen in the articles of confederation

2019-11-18 03:48:33 UTC
