Overall weight is reduced yes
Specially in an rpg scenario where its all about a zero sum of your carry limit
Muscle strength stays the same
Same with mass
if the weight of everything on your person is reduced by gravity being reduced, you can lift something else easier
Yes
If you maintain same muscle mass
which you do
but itll probably fuck you up
in real life
because you suddenly have an abnormally light load
but it has the same volume
so the same drag
sure, but that doesn't mean you can lift say, a jumbo jet in deep space even though it technically weighs nothing
because it still has a lot of mass
Yeah you can only push on it but you wont feel much
I mean in space, any force applied will compound
you can lift it
itll just take a while
You'll move away more than the jet will
and it also depends
inertia
no resistance, no drag, no other force
without drag force
means that there is nothing to reset your progress
so you can infinitely apply force to the plane
itll take a while
see, conservation of momentum means you would only be pushing yourself away, since the jet has a lot more mass than you
but you could carry it
if you push on it, you will fly back, but it will also start moving away eveeeeeer so slightly
^
exactly
@excursion12 (redha, richtginger) only if youre somehow floating in space
if you keep adding momentum to it, it'll eventually accumulate some decent speed
but consider this
how are you flying in space?
if you have jet pack that in and of itself is a force
but let's say you're on the ground of an asteroid with next to no gravity, and you attempt to lift the jet, good luck with that
Astronauts in the space station that get stuck floating in the middle of a room can just throw a pen to get enough momentum to reach a wall
you will lift up the jet
