It’s basically an important battle during the Crimean War, a time in which the Brits aligned themselves with the Ottomans purely out of concern that the Russian Empire would elevate their status of being a more dominant regional power centered around the Black Sea and potentially the eastern Mediterranean.

So those jackasses allied themselves with the very people who became their enemies 61 years later. That being the Ottomans.

It was considered additionally a religious war on the Russian Empire’s end.

The Russian infantryman had inferior equipment and rifles that could only shoot 300 meters, compared to the Allies’ newer variants that could reach 500.

But they fought extremely hard, and did score periodic victories. Although they ultimately lost prestige because of the outcome. France took most of the prestige in the war because of their performance on the Allies’ side.

@Gromp well idk how to explain this, but i remember a few months ago when i was looking at different religious stuff for a while and i came home after a day of incredible success and uncommonly good luck, it was a perfect day after about a month of uncharacteristically good luck than i sat down in a chair and i was overcome by euphoria and thankfulness, an indescribable feeling. i was changed forever big change in my personality much more healthy mentally, spirituality, and effective in every way, who knows what that was, but its very good.

and well before that about three years i wrote a plan and a guide for myself on how i thought i should live and not be miserable for one reason or another until i have spent my entire life emotionless and miserable etc.

i was plagued with nihilism, hedonism and materialism just like him and i spent 3 years crafting a plan after another trying one thing after another.

i was looking at mostly orthodox christianity stuff as far as religion goes.
