Observe this troubling graph
Corporations have intentionally kept wages low
I know.
Even thought productivity has increased
Corporations need to be checked
But as a guy who owns a corporation and provides low income housing.
Your article talks about developing countries
Corporations are literally the best avenue
You’re talking just about the west?
Yes
K
Then you might be accurate. But observe why. Poorest areas are SF, LA, and Seattle. Which have instituted massive socialist policies
Do you know why class mobility was the highest during 40's and 50's?
So what would you prefer to free market?
Back when Capitalism was at its all time high.
(Good) Labor Unions.
Labor Unions secured massive benefits for workers
Nowadays theyre just as corrupt as corporations however
Unions themselves have to kept in check though.
But the answer is Labor Unions, they are the check for corporations
Take a look at this
A single dad could work a middle class job, and support his wife, 2 kids, own 2 cars, and buy a house in the 40's and 50's
A combination of corruption in both labor unions and corporations
I provide low income housing and deal in real estate. So I can actually vouch that this graph is accurate.
Has ended this
Fact is, Corporations have abused their greed to levels which cannot be tolerated
I agree
I would propose that the federal wage should be increased to *match* buying power and inflation
Because corporations intentionally pay less than they should otherwise
Whereas during the developing ages of the US, they were building the country up. Now they are producing the newest iPhone. That’s not worthy enough to sacrifice the population.
Secondly, Labor Unions need to be given more bargaining power against Corporations
I disagree. Possibly against large corporations
But the problem is you will end up harming you’re own goals
But the core of the problem is infact capitalism, because the very essence of it is to make as much profit as possible
Which hurts everyone
Which is why I believe in a Tri-Society.
Religion. Capitalism. Democracy.
Now, with new technology being developed, there is a uniquely interesting path for economic planning as opposed to capitalism
