Why you're wrong is because in situations where the one starts on the offensive, and *then* is forced into the defensive, morale is much much lower, and general panic ensues, meanwhile the one who started on the defensive and is now on the offensive is the opposite

So in cases such as these, offensive wars are easier in terms of morale, which can and does effect war outcomes
