i used to walk this forest path when i lived in everett. I would make tea and bring it to the river in that patch of forest and pour a little of my tea in the river so it could drink with me. One day when i was walking through, there were these loud girls with nothing interesting to say coming from the opposite direction. When i walked the other half of the path, i noticed they had stepped on and crushed two snails. I ate them both in hopes they could live on by sustaining my body.
