I would have kept it encrypted, but I need a second operating system on it

I was using Ubuntu, now I'm going to dual boot windows

because I have to use visual studio for a class this semester

Was running it in a VM but honestly this laptop is a piece of shit

If you don't like the UI, try a different distribution

There is some annoying mouse lag in ubuntu gnome desktop, though. It's just barely noticeable, but it's there

I've heard other people complain about it being a problem with gnome in general, I've used gnome in other distros and hadn't really noticed it, but maybe it's just me

Otherwise the gnome desktop environment looks the best in my opinion
