I want you to explain your logic on the USD/CAD college price thing. Because it doesn't make sense to me

2017-01-20 00:47:05 UTC

CAD is 70% of 1 USD

2017-01-20 00:47:56 UTC

1 USD is 1.33 CAD

2017-01-20 00:51:43 UTC

A person in the USA could attend a Canadian University with a dollar that can go much further provided they have the money already there. Wheras a Canadian is screwed for money no matter what.

2017-01-20 00:52:34 UTC

Thats before living costs are considered.

2017-01-20 01:02:15 UTC

Yeah, so if a Canadian went to an American University (I have duel citizenship so I don't know the international rates offhand) they'd be in even more debt than if they stayed in canada

2017-01-20 01:04:03 UTC

In that regard, yeah, Canada would be cheaper.

2017-01-20 01:04:54 UTC

So why would you say Canada is only cheaper if you're going with American currency?

2017-01-20 01:05:00 UTC

I'm confused I want to understand

2017-01-20 01:05:23 UTC

oh my harambes grandma died

2017-01-20 01:05:39 UTC

I didn't think my statement through 😛

2017-01-20 01:05:56 UTC

I'm working with a sick brain today.

2017-01-20 01:06:30 UTC

Or wait, I might have been lumping living costs in the mix.

2017-01-20 01:11:20 UTC

Like for business and such, I'd much rather establish company in the USA and earn a stronger American currency than stay in Canada which taxes the hell out of employers, has a weaker currency, has high tax on purchasable goods, expensive housing no matter the province, and high income tax rates.

2017-01-20 01:13:43 UTC

Canadian healthcare is also terrible.

2017-01-20 01:14:32 UTC

For serious illness Canadians end up going to the states to get proper treatement.

2017-01-20 01:14:53 UTC

We're 10 years behind in medical training and equipment.

2017-01-20 01:15:36 UTC

And because the healthcare is government run, theres no competition to want to get better.

2017-01-20 01:21:53 UTC

Yeah a lot of my friends in the states don't realize that

2017-01-20 01:22:43 UTC

The funnier thing is, our healthcare is only "free" because of how taxed we are.

2017-01-20 01:23:14 UTC

And the healthcare isn't universal throughout Canada either

2017-01-20 01:23:18 UTC

Its per province.

2017-01-20 01:23:40 UTC

I have to get travel insurance going outside my own province.

2017-01-20 01:29:08 UTC

I didn't know the last part

2017-01-20 01:29:27 UTC

All I know is I love my dad's insurance and I wish I could stay on it until he retires

2017-01-20 01:30:10 UTC

I don't need a doctor's referral to get a massage on my dad's insurance

2017-01-20 01:30:28 UTC

I outta try out a massage one day.

2017-01-20 01:32:03 UTC

So tight on money though.

2017-01-20 01:33:53 UTC

I give great massages yo. No homo

2017-01-20 01:34:29 UTC

I dont like being touched unless it's a guy I like or a dog

2017-01-20 01:34:47 UTC

So I don't go as much as I should

2017-01-20 01:36:49 UTC

*clears throat* yeah I give pretty good massages

2017-01-20 01:37:18 UTC

2017-01-20 01:37:29 UTC

2017-01-20 01:37:42 UTC

2017-01-20 01:37:59 UTC

That made me chuckle

2017-01-20 01:38:08 UTC

2017-01-20 01:38:21 UTC
