First owned game was Luigi's Mansion

2017-02-07 21:59:34 UTC

My family skipped over getting a Game Cube, and my second household console ended up being a Wii

2017-02-07 21:59:50 UTC

at least you had an N64

2017-02-07 22:00:06 UTC

Only three notable games I had for it though.

2017-02-07 22:00:17 UTC

Didn't really get Zelda as a young child.

2017-02-07 22:00:55 UTC

In grade 7 I played Twilight Princess as my first entry into the series.

2017-02-07 22:01:06 UTC

Zelda was one of the first games I owned myself. The other was a power ranger game. I got them for Easter 1994

2017-02-07 22:01:31 UTC

i played wind waker and then twilight the game cube version

2017-02-07 22:01:51 UTC

Wind Waker I didn't get around to until Wind Waker HD came out.

2017-02-07 22:02:18 UTC

my wii couldnt read the disk sadly but still have the gamecube around

2017-02-07 22:02:35 UTC

I remember I used to have prejudice against Wind Waker because it was toon style.

2017-02-07 22:02:54 UTC

I was also a silly kid who only cared about graphics though.

2017-02-07 22:03:23 UTC

understandable the 2013 graphicsgate crowd was very annoying

2017-02-07 22:03:46 UTC

The Toon style was something you noticed way more in the screenhots than in actual gameplay.

2017-02-07 22:04:01 UTC

Though today it's kind of annoying how obsessed they are with it

2017-02-07 22:04:24 UTC

Zelda was notable for changing its style frequently, now it just constanlty uses the toon style.

2017-02-07 22:04:44 UTC

Toon style is also the quickest easiest way to try and optimize something to run well.

2017-02-07 22:04:58 UTC

Wuss poppin b

2017-02-07 22:05:22 UTC

For its part it helped Wind Waker age well. Better than other games of its time that had primative models with wrapped textures.

2017-02-07 22:05:43 UTC

Cell shading allowed more complex models with less resource load.

2017-02-07 22:06:01 UTC

that's true and twilight sadly suffered with age

2017-02-07 22:06:35 UTC

it looks dated and for the time, but still plays great and the visuals fit its tone and narrative

2017-02-07 22:06:45 UTC

i had a n64, gameboy, ps1 ps2, ps3, xbox, gamecube, pc and i had the first ds because nintendogs

2017-02-07 22:06:54 UTC

but my parents boned me and got me mario instead

2017-02-07 22:07:01 UTC

My family only ever got Nintendo and Xbox consoles.

2017-02-07 22:07:07 UTC

im trying to think what else i had because i am probably forgetting something

2017-02-07 22:07:21 UTC

oh dang. so have you ever played mgs?

2017-02-07 22:07:32 UTC

I never had MGS in my childhood.

2017-02-07 22:07:48 UTC

I don't like the changes that were made in Wind Waker HD. Tingle was annoying and should burn on a spike but removing the Tingle Turner in favor of some asinine social feature was unacceptable. Especially when the gamepad was perfectly suited towards the Tuner feature. And they shouldn't have nerfed the Triforce quest.

2017-02-07 22:07:52 UTC

i'm same as jules except no ps1 or gamecube

2017-02-07 22:08:03 UTC

or ps3

2017-02-07 22:08:11 UTC

@Emma tingle was bae

2017-02-07 22:08:12 UTC

not really

2017-02-07 22:08:35 UTC

that creep yahoi

2017-02-07 22:08:39 UTC

@yourblackhalf what were your favorutie games?

2017-02-07 22:08:42 UTC

I'll be honest, I heard the triforce quest in Windwaker was nerfed, but I used a walkthrough to get through it anyway.

2017-02-07 22:08:52 UTC

I played mgs when it came out

2017-02-07 22:09:03 UTC

@sentri i fucking love mgs

2017-02-07 22:09:14 UTC

i will never fully understand the timeline, but that game is baeeeee

2017-02-07 22:09:18 UTC

Several of the maps used to find a triforce shard were replaced with the actual shard itself.

2017-02-07 22:09:23 UTC

i wanted to smoke because of that game.
