It came at the same time as Batman Returns

It's animated, from the 90s. Beautifully made with interesting twists

I think Paul Dini had something to do with it, so there's that too

But sadly overshadowed by Burton's sequel and the prejudice of the time that if its animated its targeted for kids which was vastly darker than Returns since Returns toned down a noch
