2017-02-19 16:00:18 UTC

Google Loon?

2017-02-19 16:02:01 UTC

giant air balloons that supply free internet 0-0

2017-02-19 16:02:53 UTC

Remember though that Google loves tracking your every move. Internet use through Google would be spied on and documented.

2017-02-19 16:03:14 UTC

i don't care, it's free XD

2017-02-19 16:05:54 UTC

It's why I use OpenDNS instead of Google's DNS.

2017-02-19 16:06:05 UTC

Both are way, way better than your ISP's DNS would be.

2017-02-19 16:06:23 UTC

But OpenDNS wouldn't record everything you do like Google's.

2017-02-19 16:06:30 UTC

OpenDNS?

2017-02-19 16:06:33 UTC

Primiarly Google uses its tracking to target ads to you.

checking it out now

2017-02-19 16:09:22 UTC

Short version is to just log into your router and enter these three IPs into the DNS fields:
```
208.67.220.220, 208.67.222.222, and 208.67.222.220
```

2017-02-19 16:09:57 UTC

hmm. good info to know. i'll look more into this

2017-02-19 16:10:15 UTC

By default your router uses the DNS provided to you by your ISP. It's terrible. Most ISPs have extremely poor quality DNS.

2017-02-19 16:10:38 UTC

A lot of the lag and other connection issues you may have is likely from bad DNS from your ISP.

2017-02-19 16:11:23 UTC

jeez. good to know. I'll take what i can get to increase both security and speed

2017-02-19 16:11:57 UTC

That's why Cisco bought it out, because it was so much better.
