you might keep the same software but they drivers might differ
But its not much of a hassle
^ what they said
like nvidia experience will stay the same if u have a nvidia card but u'll get different drivers for the new chip
I'm switching from AMD to nvidia
oh well yea then u swap the software
So I gotta uninstall it all
the struggles
i have a radeon card in my retro gaming pc tho
works pretty well in quake 3 and stuff
radeons are the best for retro builds. driver support is mind blowing
long live the 5770
yea they have windows 98 drivers on cards from 2007 lol
it's crazy
does anyone remember Aureal Vortex sound cards?
they had the best 3d binaural audio
that's a bit before my time xD
by a bit, a lot
I have an external soundcard
aw
but they were nice while they lasted
I want a new interface
they have vids on youtube you can listen to on headphones with the positional audio
i just need new speakers. I'm using this Genius OEM crap I got with my first PC a few years ago
well i make sure to use speakers with digital connections
no 3.5mm headphone jacks
usually either usb or optical cables
why you gotta bash the 3.5mm mang?
eh its fine on my phone
but i like digital uncompressed audio on my main system :P
true XD eh, i just go for what's simplest and what works without skimping on quality. audio isn't my forte
i also have an external midi controller for that authentic soundblaster 16 sound on MS-DOS games :3
just for the authenticity XD nice
i've ried emulationg DOS before
ha, fuck that
*tried *emulating
emulating is more convinient for me sometimes when i don't feel like turning on my retro pc
since i don't have alot of room on my desk i need to unplug alot of cables and stuff
I have a nice sized desk
i know the feeling XD
