I prefer co-op multiplayer over competative. And inevitably you'll get someone horribly incompitant that holds you back. Like GTA online there always seems to be someone who lacks any comprhension of following the instructions the game itself gives you. Like where to go, to fight off the enemies chasing you before you continue, or what the map symbols mean leading them to circle one spot in vain failing to comprehend they're supposed to fly up.

And usually when this happens, a squeaker in the party loses it.

Ok, so to explain, I have shit hearing and I don't have a headset, so I can't hear footsteps

Or in stealth missions and one of the party members has zero concept of stealth and just go charging in.

and I take a little longer to process something before I react

which makes me open to pre-firing

Get some Audio Technica M20x headphones. Those will hear footsteps easily 😛
