2017-03-21 18:55:36 UTC

My favorite death metal band is carcass. Death is my second favorite

I almost saw Rings of Saturn with Carnfex a few weeks ago but decided not to go

2017-03-21 18:58:18 UTC

i'm fucking amazed that they can play live

2017-03-21 18:58:32 UTC

i guess they aren't heavy drinkers before shows like dragonforce back in the day

2017-03-21 18:58:46 UTC

yee

2017-03-21 18:59:07 UTC

dragonforce was my favorite band when i first got into metal like 9 years ago

2017-03-21 18:59:23 UTC

and stayed that way until i started playing guitar at age 13

2017-03-21 18:59:33 UTC

I know Repzion likes some metal, but I only know he likes Nu metal and metalcore'

2017-03-21 19:00:18 UTC

metalcore makes me not want to live anymore

2017-03-21 19:00:46 UTC

Isn't deathcore pretty much Metalcore with death metal elements?

2017-03-21 19:01:03 UTC

Deathcore never has clean vocals

2017-03-21 19:01:27 UTC

Never heard of metalcore or death core.

2017-03-21 19:01:35 UTC

another diference between metalcore and deathcore is that deathcore sounds heavy

2017-03-21 19:01:44 UTC

True

2017-03-21 19:02:08 UTC

@vegeta Metalcore and Deathcore are Metal/Hardcore subgenres

2017-03-21 19:02:43 UTC

Hmm, sounds interesting, might check it out.

2017-03-21 19:02:44 UTC

Oh other bands i like are After the Burial, Persefone, and Be'lakor

2017-03-21 19:03:18 UTC

@vegeta Would you like recommendations for both of those?

2017-03-21 19:03:41 UTC

Yeah, gotta start somewhere.

2017-03-21 19:03:47 UTC

you should definitely check out Be'lakor because it's the perfect fusion of melodeath and prog

2017-03-21 19:04:31 UTC

@vegeta For metalcore, listen to Bullet For My Valentine, Killswitch Engaged and the first Avenged Sevonfold albums

2017-03-21 19:05:09 UTC

@vegeta For deathcore listen to Suicide Silence, the first Job For A Cowboy EP and Thy Art is Murder

2017-03-21 19:05:10 UTC

I think I've heard of Bullet For My Valentine.

2017-03-21 19:05:41 UTC

I'll add 'me all to my music recommendations list.

2017-03-21 19:07:06 UTC

listen to that for deathcore

2017-03-21 19:07:37 UTC

Edgy

2017-03-21 19:07:49 UTC

TWOG likes thrash and death metal, so i wouldn't consider him an authority on good deathcore

2017-03-21 19:09:01 UTC

Shadow of the Colossus is good at sound painting. When i listen to the opening track of that album, i visualize the album art in my head PERFECTLY

2017-03-21 19:09:03 UTC

David Bowie, Queen, Eminem, Bruce Falconer's DBZ soundtracks, Batman Arkham City soundtrack.

2017-03-21 19:09:17 UTC

Guns 'n Roses

2017-03-21 19:09:31 UTC

Buns n' Hoses

2017-03-21 19:09:32 UTC

Stan Bush

2017-03-21 19:09:50 UTC

Spam Kush

2017-03-21 19:10:08 UTC

@vegeta I recommend you'd get into more traditional heavy metal/thrash metal/death metal before getting into deathcore or metalcore

2017-03-21 19:10:23 UTC

@vegeta so do i

2017-03-21 19:11:09 UTC

@vegeta stuff like deathcore is more of an accquired taste. even death metal and thrash metal are pretty intense compared to heavy metal
