and isn bulky

2017-03-23 15:02:08 UTC

The layout was good, but the form factor was terrible.

2017-03-23 15:02:22 UTC

It was way too small for my hands. And I was 11 when I got one.

2017-03-23 15:02:31 UTC

It also holds your wrists too close together.

2017-03-23 15:02:43 UTC

Have to noticed how all controllers have a bowed shape now? A curve to them?

2017-03-23 15:02:47 UTC

Yeah.... that's why

2017-03-23 15:03:18 UTC

Designs like on the GameCube controller ***ABSOLUTELY*** would damage your wrists with prolonged use.

2017-03-23 15:03:33 UTC

And Nintend didn't seem to get that lesson until recently.

2017-03-23 15:03:40 UTC

idk i guess my hands are tiny

2017-03-23 15:03:50 UTC

That's why so many Wii, DS, and 3DS games nagged you about taking breaks.

2017-03-23 15:03:52 UTC

;-;

2017-03-23 15:04:20 UTC

Because Nintendo knew its designs were bad for your wrists but they didn't do anything to fix it beyond warning you, vaguely, that playing too long was bad for your health.

2017-03-23 15:04:42 UTC

o shit i played that shit my whole school life'

2017-03-23 15:04:49 UTC

everyday before and after schoo;

2017-03-23 15:04:55 UTC

And your wrists suffered from them.

2017-03-23 15:04:57 UTC

more then 136hrs of gameplay

2017-03-23 15:04:59 UTC

no

2017-03-23 15:05:15 UTC

It's different when you're younger. Your body can heal damage more easily.

2017-03-23 15:05:24 UTC

literally my wrist are as good as any the only thing that injured them was when i fell on one and caused a sprain

2017-03-23 15:05:26 UTC

The older you got the worse it was on your wrists.

2017-03-23 15:05:34 UTC

im 20 lol

2017-03-23 15:05:40 UTC

i stopped playing games 2 yrs ago

2017-03-23 15:06:13 UTC

dont get me wrong i still play them every now and again

2017-03-23 15:06:51 UTC

It's why Nintendo nags you about playing too long. And it's why controller designs all changed in the last decade and why they all have basically the same shape now even if the button layout is different.

2017-03-23 15:07:19 UTC

Gone are the days when each system had distinctive shapes to their controllers.

2017-03-23 15:07:35 UTC

That was dangerous and opened up the console makers to lawsuits.

2017-03-23 15:07:40 UTC

xbox controller looks good

2017-03-23 15:07:46 UTC

does it cause the same damage?

2017-03-23 15:07:49 UTC

o:

2017-03-23 15:07:56 UTC

That's the design I'm talking about.

2017-03-23 15:08:13 UTC

They pioneered the design that is now standard.

2017-03-23 15:08:46 UTC

Look at the Switch Pro Controller. It's an Xbox Controller in all but name and materials it's made of. Essentially identical in all other ways in how it's shaped.

2017-03-23 15:09:28 UTC

that controller looks retarded

2017-03-23 15:09:36 UTC

lol

2017-03-23 15:09:46 UTC

wait

2017-03-23 15:09:54 UTC

can u seperate it and still be able to play

2017-03-23 15:09:56 UTC

?

2017-03-23 15:10:46 UTC

apparently you can

2017-03-23 15:31:32 UTC

Yeah its like one its biggest marketing points

2017-03-23 15:34:05 UTC

The Switch definitely was poorly made

2017-03-23 15:34:39 UTC

I think it had the potential to live up to its hype.
