I feel that but also don't at the same time. The thing is that they don't seem to be dying off fast enough. There's still a large amount of control in university and political spaces
It's disturbing that it's even taken over parts of the gaming " community "
The gaming "community" is a hell on its own
Yeah
True
But I'm still being directly affected by SJW's which is why I feel compelled to watch still - even if it's just background noise
I don't even feel like returning to college anymore... My last attempt didn't bode too well. I kept up with assignments and paid attention to he seminars but when I started to participate, things just took a nose dive
How are they affecting you?
Specifically 2 of my classes, just a basic English course and POLS. Wound up getting straight 30's because the teacher just straight up didn't like me because she identified as a Feminist. She started off at the beginning of the course saying that " You can write about anything for your final paper but if it's controversial, you have to deal with what comes with it. " Which was fine and I could agree with it
I sent in 5 topics to be approved (you had to send at least 3 and then pick 1) and ALL of them were rejected because they were too controversial. When I finally DID get a topic approved (effects of extreme isolation on child development) I thought it was fine
Sent in the 1st rough draft and she said " I never approved of this " even though I had a screencapped email of her saying she did
The topic got into some really, REALLY brutal shit, I won't lie. But even my classmates that peer-reviewed it were okay with it and wanted to know more
Tried taking it up to the administration and they basically didn't do anything
I think part of the problem is 1. They had regular BLM events on-campus and 2. They were going through a huge scandal in the administration
They were forcing off-campus students to buy meal plans and then one of the members of the board was taking that money for personal use
In the POLS class, I just got into heated discussions with EVERYONE. I could post the most neutral thing in the discussion board and I still got shit on. The professor in that class at least liked me though since he was basically a Libertarian
that sucks
american colleges are stupid af
costs too much money and horrible people
It got so bad though because this was during the final string of the election campaign. I remember this one girl posted in the discussion board the night before the final vote " This is a democracy and we should all respect each other whatever the final outcome " or something like that
and her profile pic had the " I'm With Her " FB filter on it
this is proof Americans are stupid af
Oh there's more
at least those kinds
So much more
Same girl earlier
then again I just experienced a racist sub teacher yesterday
she was literally racist
questioning my ethnicity and name and kicking out the asian kid
she was so unprofessional
Where the hell did you go to school?
I go to school in california atm
WAIT I FOUND THE SCREENSHOTS I HAD
but im not originally from america
oh god, this was such a long time ago and I've had so much stupidity clog my brain since then
Ok, correction: The Discussion board was about whether or not we should remove the Electoral college. https://twitter.com/TurretMob/status/797146048615612416
hm
that is a interesting debate there
She got PISSED
And she fucking subtweeted me
