but it incorporates a lot of things that are mostly particular to really good movies

Unpredictable deaths for example

Showing without "forced emotion" if you know what I mean

I think I wanted to watch it at some point but forgot about it

Next on my watchlist is Nocturnal Animals and then probably rewatching One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

I watched it a long time ago and I remember feeling it's a really unrealistic depiction of mental institutions but due to recent events in my life I think I should give in a second chance

i've never been to a mental institution so

I have. No psychosis or anything. Just suicidal shit

I don't plan on visiting one either, I have an actual fear of mentally retarded people

You'd be surprised how many people are there just because of suicidal attempts. Besides that there were a few for eating disorders, OCD and only one girl who is schizophrenic but she was fine most of the time. Most of the staff was shitty though

It's a god damn tough place though. When the staff doesn't take care of people and you have to do it when you aren't feeling the best yourself, it's pretty harsh

True but I know more about that time the movie is set in in psychiatric hospitals now than when I first watched this movie

I get really uncomfortable just from seeing a mentally disabled person in public

so i'd prefer not being in a building filled with them

What do you mean by mentally disabled though? Most people I met there you probably wouldn't be able to tell by looking at them that something is wrong besides people with cuts (from self harm) or anorexic ones

Yeah, there was only one there that would barely talk and walk back and forth. It was pretty funny though that there was a kid there who was really annoying on purpose and the other person who would barely talk told that kid to go fuck himself because he was annoying a bunch of people
