People try to interject their values as morals. It's a smokescreen.

But there are some reasonable ones. I think we can all agree on those, aside from the random sociopath.

Even other species show signs of compassion and empathy. And rules that help them survive.

They serve a social function, but that doesn't mean people should treat morality as if it actually exists

Well, it's not immaculate. But it's naturally present. Like, not killing your own kind. That sort of thing. It has evolutionary value. There's probably an eternal mechanism that drives it.
