Still feels like zombies

2018-10-27 03:05:41 UTC

I’m gonna be honest, I don’t know too much about CoD outside of World at War.

Everyone kept talking about that “boots on the ground feeling” and how great the zombies mode was, the weapons and the campaign feeling authentic, so that’s the only Call of Duty game I own.

What baffles me is why if that’s what people wanted, why didn’t they just pick it up on the steam sale with all the DLC, full modding capability, and servers still up if they wanted a boots-on-the-ground feeling that bad. There’s nothing wrong with the game other than the fact that there’s no instant action bots like in Star Wars Battlefront II classic, but still, if I could reliably get into a zombies mode without having to arrange it with my friends, that’d be great; because the only reason it’s not playable is because no one else is playing it.

2018-10-27 03:05:46 UTC

You know what I mean?

2018-10-27 03:06:59 UTC

If the CoD fanbase wants an authentic WWII feel, why not just go back to the stuff that works and play that rather than relying on the new game that Activision shit out without care?

2018-10-27 03:08:13 UTC

Yeah i didnt even buy cod ww2

2018-10-27 03:08:19 UTC

It’d save me $1970 and my dignity as well, I’m not spending 1900 on a laptop just to run the new $70 CoD WWII game that throws loot boxes at me

2018-10-27 03:08:25 UTC

Cod mw1 and mw2 were great u missed out

2018-10-27 03:08:43 UTC

All the black ops games u definitely could have gone without

2018-10-27 03:12:10 UTC

One of the reasons that I like WaW as well is that it was specifically designed to be single-player first, it didn’t balance shit around the multiplayer and whiny cocksuckers complaining about a specific weapon, and the multiplayer was there as a secondary option. While I’ve been going on about wanting to play multiplayer zombies, that’s mainly to try and get the easter egg music beyond level 4 because god knows I can’t get past that alone

2018-10-27 03:12:31 UTC

The single player campaign is good

2018-10-27 03:12:51 UTC

I do miss the campaigns that made you feel like youre fighting a real life war

2018-10-27 03:13:26 UTC

Black ops 4 didnt bother with campaign and im happy because after black ops 1 it had just complete fantasy shit in it and it wasnt good, halo takes the cake for that

2018-10-27 03:13:32 UTC

So they focus more on zombies now

2018-10-27 03:13:43 UTC

Thats why i loved cod 4 a lot

2018-10-27 03:13:53 UTC

Realistic modern war scenarip

2018-10-27 03:14:17 UTC

Playing as SAS and US Marines fighting Russian nationalists and their allies

2018-10-27 03:14:25 UTC

Etc

2018-10-27 03:15:08 UTC

With no futuristic shit thrown into the mix, just felt cooler

2018-10-27 03:16:45 UTC

Again, seeing as WaW is a world war II game, I liked fighting the Nazis with the Red Army and the Japs with the Americans, and as far as I’m concerned, the only thing the game needs is more content like campaigns and weapons. I don’t really enjoy Cold War era stuff as much

2018-10-27 03:17:18 UTC

Yeah i didnt like the cold war story either

2018-10-27 03:18:03 UTC

I’d rather a mustang than an F-18, an M1 Garand over an M14 or M16, or a Sherman over an M1 Abrams.

2018-10-27 03:18:09 UTC

Loved the middle east warfare though in cod 4

2018-10-27 03:18:20 UTC

I cant agree with that, just comes to preference

2018-10-27 03:18:32 UTC

Love my m249 and humvees <:GWseremePeepoGGERS:402867853906280450>

2018-10-27 03:18:52 UTC

Fair enough, the humvee does have a nice engine sound

2018-10-27 03:18:59 UTC

Nice deep rumble to it

2018-10-27 03:19:15 UTC

Mw2 campaign had its ups and downs, it really got me into it when the mission starts with emergency broadcast

2018-10-27 03:19:39 UTC

And youre with a elite sf taking back the white house, EMPs going off. straight up chaos

2018-10-27 03:21:08 UTC

Back to the preference thing again, I’d prefer a cohesive tactical situation as opposed to chaos, like a building-by-building or trench warfare scenario

2018-10-27 03:22:15 UTC

Battlefield One kinda rubbed me the wrong way with that, there’s a vast difference between the description of warfare in BF1 and something like All Quiet on the Western Front.

2018-10-27 03:22:26 UTC

I wish battlefield would drop the war stories thing

2018-10-27 03:22:43 UTC

I want it like the older battlefields

2018-10-27 03:23:01 UTC

Man i had a blast as a kid playing original battlefield 2 campaign

2018-10-27 03:25:01 UTC

The only other battlefield I’ve owned is Hardline, so I guess I can’t really speak to that. The only problem I had with the war stories was that there was only one of them on the trenches. You didn’t have any situations like the Lost Battalion, the Battle of Passchendale, Vimy Ridge, you know, the *majority of what the war was like*

2018-10-27 03:27:33 UTC

They cherry-picked the most action-filled stories rather than the ones that depicted the reality of how tedious and vile the war actually was. They didn’t even throw in a battle like the defence of Belgrade.

2018-10-27 03:28:30 UTC

Maybe u outta look up some older ww1/2 games

2018-10-27 03:28:40 UTC

Not the mainstream ones that appeal to the masses

2018-10-27 03:28:55 UTC

Battlefield One has had years to add more campaign content, and either I missed the DLC with that campaign, or they’ve focused on the multiplayer that you have to set up a specific server to get that authentic WW1 feel.

2018-10-27 03:29:10 UTC

I get that it’s EA

2018-10-27 03:29:14 UTC

But fuck man

2018-10-27 03:29:44 UTC

U can ride horses and shit on multiplayer
