Can anybody recommend Dragon Quest games other than 6 (I have that one). I'm trying to get more into the series.

Can i ask what dragon quest is?

Square Enix RPG series.

It's similar to Final Fantasy, but without a class system in any of the games. Plus more physical special commands, like how a few classes in Final Fantasy games can do special physical attacks, but the characters that focus on physical have more of those moves.

More weapon variation as well, because weapon types have different ways of attacking with less focus on stat differences unlike in final fantasy where it's different weapon types only have stat variations.

Yup. Like boomerangs attack all enemies, but do less damage as they go down the line of enemies, whips attack groups of enemies and have the same issue, and most other weapons as far as I've seen attack one enemy at a time.

That sounds pretty interesting

It's pretty fun. None of the magic I've gotten from leveling up so far does any damage surprisingly.
