Uhh I think they block off the active lava flows for safety, so people can't exactly go up and view them

me, being the foodie, checked out the food scene

I'd want to eat their food too. But again. Not toooo much time in any cities. Though I hear the people there are really pleasant.

Alvord is amazing btw

Been there 3 times now this year

We were there around 4th of july and there wasnt anyone but some cowboys

Was pretty quiet

The cowboys were something though. One of the nights I went in with my nephew and sister and they were all drunk and singing very loudly. (And really badly)

It was fun though

There's also some good hikes in the steens right next to it. Then the alvord playa is it's own special thing
