A very enlightening experience

I did a week of work camp in St Louis and in my area

Cool

St Louis was like.,,. So chill

Like theres no people out and about

My dad was raised in Florissant with all that radioactive waste

im always weirded out when i travel to other big cities bc like Im used to Chicago and my specific area where I live near one of the largest indoor malls in the country

and then like I'll go to a different city and its like...... empty and someones like oh i forgot something we gotta go to the local mall to get it and its like 12 stores

Well STL is really dead

Everyone moved out to the suburbs and as soon as news came out about radiation in the northern suburbs, people dipped.

Fucken bored

And like ive never been to NYC but like.... they dont have alleyways there?? and i like

Well they’re more like backstreets

I’ve been there but only when I was really young going to see my great uncle

Chicago has a fuckton of alleyways and underground roads and stuff bc it was like full of cattle ranchers

and the alleys were for movin th cows

I like Chicago from when I was there

I mean well STL has a massive metal arch and big metal things don’t really interest me as much as what they mean, or how it was made.

The massively tall buildings were a sight to see though

I had been to Chicago before with my orchestra for the Midwest Clinic

Quit playing cello when I learned we’d be going to Carnegie Hall

If I’m going there, I won’t be carried by 100 other musicians.
