Wow imagine a different layout fucking you up
Not what is being said.
Please take reading comprehension.
Because you really, REALLY need to read what is being said lmao.
the whole thing with muscle memory is your fingers knowing which key is where
^
the keys are totally different on a piano so it wont work
That will not 100% transfer, to a piano.
Especially given how many more movements are required lmao
Would it not come easier to someone who knows how to learn muscle memory faster?
No.
not at all
All they'd have is the dexterity from other things.
your fingers will just be swifter maybe
Okay, here. Let's make this a bit easier for you Seabass
Take a knight, and give him a sword. Train him in only a sword, and shield.
For decades.
Take away his sword and shield, and now give him a two handed axe.
Will his muscle memory transfer over, to a completely new way of fighting?
your arms will be stronger but you still have no idea how to wield the axe
Not to mention the range will be different
And you'll be using a clumsier weapon, with a much smaller striking point 🤷
Now let's take the keyboard to piano example, and break it down further
Dexterity would that not help you??
The person on the keyboard, has much less room than a piano.
The piano is HUGE
yeah but barely at all
You need so much more movement and speed, to get things done
about as much as drinking water your whole life would help you drink a beer faster
Genuinely watch professional piano players, seabass
Watch their entire body
Shoulders, arms, hands, legs, feet.
They are moving them.
A keyboard..you barely move, typing.
all your body knows in terms of muscle memory is "in this spot, there's A"
^
Oh no I'm mot doubting the skill gap lmao
so it doesn't carry over at all when there's no longer an alphabetical layout
Violin players have that same thing.
muscle memory isn't something that you grow and it gets stronger for EVERYTHING
