You need so much more movement and speed, to get things done
about as much as drinking water your whole life would help you drink a beer faster
Genuinely watch professional piano players, seabass
Watch their entire body
Shoulders, arms, hands, legs, feet.
They are moving them.
A keyboard..you barely move, typing.
all your body knows in terms of muscle memory is "in this spot, there's A"
^
Oh no I'm mot doubting the skill gap lmao
so it doesn't carry over at all when there's no longer an alphabetical layout
Violin players have that same thing.
muscle memory isn't something that you grow and it gets stronger for EVERYTHING
A lot of people think it's just their arms, but in reality it's the enitre upper body lmao
it just gets stronger for that ONE thing youre training
Yeah. Muscle memory has to be trained for entirely new skills.
You can't just transfer your muscle memory, too something similar.
Well yeah the pianois fucking huge
That'd actually be BAD.
even if you use a small piano
If you tried to take your MM skills with a keyboard, and go to a piano it'd be hell.
You'd actually end up doing worse.
Small again big compared to a keyboard
literally you can program your qwerty keyboard to play piano
and you'll still be slow as ever
because new keys
And it's not as efficient I'd bet
idk i couldn't say
@Squeaks worse than someone that hadn't touched either? Ehhh idk Im kist saying the dexterity training from using a keyboard would certainly help as opposed to not having it at all.
Eeeehh..
it'd help but very little
It'd be minimal.
You'd get like, maybe a 1-2% boost, but you'd honestly have too try and re-learn things.
All the pianists I know, type using the weirdest poses
honestly typing on a keyboard is really bad for your hands
Two use their literal fingerprints.
so it might actually make it worse lol
Because their muscle memory becomes OVER RIDDEN.
They have a hard time typing on a keyboard
Because their minds equate it to a piano. So if anything, your reliance upon the muscle memory, is bad.
