The north is too politically and religiously divided

it seems like most northern irish want to remain british

And the gerrymandering in favour of British rule in the 90s is a huge factor to that

there is a perfectly good second island

A female reporter was murdered in a crossfire between the IRA and police forces

And as a result huge riots and marches took place

To the point that I could not leave the house to get my bus, because I would have been attacked for being irish
