The exchange of sexually explicit material of a minor is a federal crime that carries the sentence of up to 10 years per image exchanged. Can someone find out if this is the same for an adult sending sexually explicit material to a minor in term of consequence? I am aware that it is a federal crime to do.

I'm pretty sure the Federal aspect only applies if it is a national crime

for instance, if Troubled posts a cp pic in Florida, then moves to New York, it has now become a national crime.
