mainland greece is majority white/European, but if you go to islands like Cyprus or Crete they tend to look more brown/middle eastern

mountain greeks (like me) tend to be the lightest

Mountain people tend to be the purest and thus "whitest" because of the barely walkable terrain

they lived a peaceful independent life up there

all of the balkans is pretty mixed

Illyrians, Dinarics, Greeks, Thracians, South Slav tribes and etc
