security patches don't affect excel ffs
they start crawling
and excel has slowed shit ton during years
that's why you reinstall
so indeed excels patches security or not do matter
2010 vs 2019(whatver) versions for example
then install 2010
just trying to throw example here that they are "barely" good for anything anymore
getting too old slowly but steadily
But given i have biassed opinions as i love my spreadsheets and im heavy multitasker and "google office as solution" is nightmare for me.
ofc what matters here is what kind of school will use them
(kek idea of pre-schools having computers for kids is just so wrong)
they are school computers
and with an ssd almost any cpu will work
if only
it's an i5 2400
not some celeron
sandy bridge is fine
maybe i just have really bad experiences :D (and oh boy i have stories for days)
unlike said celerons
yeaah should be enough then
I wonder if I should keep one for myself
and turn it into a media center or emulator machine
which I doubt I'll ever use
they might be usable as media center because the i5 2400 can do quicksync
emulator depends on which
it has no GPU though
it has no HDMI out
just displayport
which is arguably superior
some cheap 1050 or amd stuff for 100 there
new SSD and hdds for stuff
(cannibalise extra sticsk for 8 of ram from one of the spares
UIs for computers are terrible though
what do people use nowadays
but something like whole *RR setup is probly not bad either
