well they already keep an eye on prisoners out on bail... they are supposed to be heavily restricted as is
but under the UK parliament... they would have to vote in such an orwellian party
Yes ... but there is always the tactic of "just one tiny step more" ... and thousands of them make up a mile.
So the only sensible way is categoric NO!
i dunno... if it saves some lives id be ok with it.... its not like theres a human watching over all of them...
You CAN follow criminals other ways too ... LOOK FOR THEM by using police officers, but that is MORE EXPENSIVE!
just an AI using facial rec with only a list of some people for a certain length of time
Using "people" is not really abuseable ... or at least it is harder to.
the only time it would even be used is like... if there is an actual crime against someone
Sure, "its just an AI" ... but PEOPLE (who might want to abuse it) have to program it. Just watch "Enemy of the State" for a scenario.
the AI says - Oh recently release Mohammed al-Islam was in the area recently released from prison a month ago for terrorism plots just before the bomb went off...
what you are saying... is that people will use it underhandedly... well... if the tech exists then that will already be happening... im talking about legally
The point I am arguing is that the CAMERAS are the problem ... and the UK should revert to THE BOBBY ON THE BEAT ... but that is a bit more expensive even though cameras cant prevent anything while policemen being near might.
Cameras are used because they are CHEAPER ... it is a COST CUTTING MEASURE!
cameras are good evidence for solving crimes... not to mention preventative
its this sh*t I dont like - https://twitter.com/BBCTech/status/1174005862177955841?s=20
facebook is going to be providing the police cameras... ye... no... see its easy to spot when its too far
Sure ... they are nice for evidence ... but they can still be abused, which they eventually will be. Just look at how UK police and justice treat Tommy Robinson.
yeah exactly... imagine if there werent cameras... TR would be locked up forever
You are switching the argument.
There are loads of shop security cameras and so on to provide footage in case of a crime ... just look at the Boston Marathon bombing. There is ZERO NEED for the police to operate thousands of them to cover all of british cities!
lol... blaming men for something women have chosen.. the patriarchy strikes again https://twitter.com/DrJenGunter/status/1174006671867355138?s=20
Have you seen the video by The Glass Blind Spot? Karen Straughan revealed the MRA plot to reinstate the patriarchy. [at the start and the end] https://youtu.be/tvpw_5Pjaz8
wow people are really annoyed with women having free reign over their bodies https://twitter.com/kieczkowska/status/1174009265377415170?s=20
Well if people "do bad" in their youth it is the job of plastic surgeons to fix it? Nah ... people should live with their mistakes and maybe the next generation will do better. Working on "fixing it yourself" is just too tiresome.
lololol wait wait....
wait...
ok so this article.... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-49726652?ocid=socialflow_twitter
....
'These include racial slurs, "first offender", "rape suspect", "spree killer", "newsreader", and "Batman".'
batman???? X)
wtf?
Thought-terminating clichés are really really bad in journalism.
And in political debate.
Because ... terminating though is not good ... because you could call it "murder".
People without functioning brains are dead after all.
newsreader is a racial slur 😂
"Everything is sexist, everything is racist, everything is homophobic ... and you have to point it all out." - Holy prophet Anita.
oh btw.. did y'all hear battlestar galactica is coming back?
