academics are alot like post-modernists in that they insist on using external vocabularies even if they are overly complicated and not known by all parties. this is counter-productive and typically a way of just making themselves feel superior as the other doesn't know what they deem the proper term
#notall STEM fields do the exact opposite
Post-postmodernism
"A rose by any other name still smells as sweet.... but good luck finding one for your sweetheart if you don't know the name people in her village refer to it by"
Post moderntism
defintions matter; but they shouldn't be used as a straight-jacket
STEM is different. It's MEANT to be concise
Embalming fluid.
But the human brain is FAR better at dealing with analog associations like social relationships than it is discrete relationships
@ManAnimal All intellectualism is mean to be concise, or else it is literally a waste of space
true, but 'concise' usually infers that one has the broader scope/understanding as well
Nah
Logic is a tool of the mind
Not its primary mode of operation
Also
the 'intellectual' often is only repeating knowledge that they have assimilated but lack more than a superficial understanding of
Go fall off a helicopter
incorrect; instincts are primary to thought
i can make anyone panic
>sargoy's server
>intellectualism
pick one
Faith is powerful. Turns out faith in reality, facts, and truth are similarly powerful.
and their instinct will stop them from thinking
@Coolitic When did I even suggest that commie scum were even approaching humanity?
@ManAnimal i said *not* its primary mode
Wait
I may be mixing min roe with som1 else
not ... primary
double neg
Bruh
his name just change?
I'm trying to remember why I found Min Roe annoying
But it's been a while
i knew it was him
because you are a cuck who makes dumb assumptions?
but thought the name just was different before
hell, i can tell you why you find him annoying lol; you two are just polar opposites, that's all
This was before the time I discovered Discord's note function
(see, brain better at remembering social connections )
