yep

2019-07-12 09:49:29 UTC

And I'm passing my exams with reasonable margins lol

2019-07-12 09:49:39 UTC

@ebinmemes22 basically, they evolved to be similar to giant ground sloths or bears.

2019-07-12 09:49:40 UTC

I studied like 2 times and that class I got 2nd highest grade

2019-07-12 09:49:52 UTC

but then ceo's kids wouldve gotten into the uni and i'd be stuck doing fuckall anyway

2019-07-12 09:50:01 UTC

If I put in minimal effort next year I'll get a first ezpz

2019-07-12 09:50:01 UTC

but that's eastern europe forya šŸ˜›

2019-07-12 09:50:41 UTC

@Little Boots it was also the biggest land mammal ever to have lived, it isn't gonna be climbing any trees

2019-07-12 09:50:51 UTC

Systems fucked and it is as far as I can tell because of lack of discipline

2019-07-12 09:51:12 UTC

I wouldn't have bludged so hard if belted us lets be real here

2019-07-12 09:51:19 UTC

weird mix of no discipline but no freedom either

2019-07-12 09:51:22 UTC

Or finding some other reason to walk on 2 legs lol, I doubt it's pelvis would allow for it

2019-07-12 09:51:27 UTC

Or at least made me run 3 laps around the field

2019-07-12 09:51:39 UTC

welllllll

2019-07-12 09:51:46 UTC

i was really antischool lol

2019-07-12 09:51:54 UTC

running around the fields didnt help haha

2019-07-12 09:51:57 UTC

Ah yes sign here name and id to take a piss but I can also just sit on my phone all day and none gives a fuck

2019-07-12 09:52:07 UTC

@ebinmemes22 I know, but it still evolved finger-like appendages without needing to climb trees. Rather, it used them to grip limbs to nibble off the branches similar to how giant ground sloths functioned.

2019-07-12 09:52:13 UTC

Clearly svarozgyc is a Richard and Mortimer fan too

2019-07-12 09:52:22 UTC

lol

2019-07-12 09:52:30 UTC

school is no place for smart kids

2019-07-12 09:52:48 UTC

Itā€™s that old thing of ā€œconvergent evolutionā€ that I was talking about taking place.

2019-07-12 09:52:57 UTC

I only learned to enjoy sport right as I left school

2019-07-12 09:53:09 UTC

i got kicked out of uni for not attending PE

2019-07-12 09:53:17 UTC

tru story from eastern europe

2019-07-12 09:53:19 UTC

@Little Boots and it didn't have the intelligence, social structure or ability to walk on two legs so it didn't become smart. It'd need a lot of work

2019-07-12 09:53:47 UTC

It's not just about the fingers, it's about ending up using them to hold things, like a baby or a stick

2019-07-12 09:54:52 UTC

@ebinmemes22 I know. Iā€™m just showing how fingers could develop without needing to climb trees.

2019-07-12 09:55:09 UTC

Thumbs are a different story.

2019-07-12 09:55:16 UTC

Ye but in the overall argument that was had in the first place it doesn't help much lol

2019-07-12 09:55:34 UTC

Thumbs is the part that prolly requires tree climbing lol

2019-07-12 09:56:33 UTC

I might try to do an entire hypothetical species development and try to hypothesize potential ways appendages needed for gripping tools could develop and see if itā€™s possible without needing to climb trees.

2019-07-12 09:56:55 UTC

Well octopi can grip things

2019-07-12 09:57:00 UTC

They're pretty smart too

2019-07-12 09:57:30 UTC

Their problem is that they're trapped underwater

2019-07-12 09:57:59 UTC

There's even a species that catches fish to ride on their backs for fun lol
