To be fair, the Nordiques were a mess

and sure, they would become a great great team

so was Pittsburgh in '84

Didn't stop Lemeiux

in Colorado, at the time of him being drafted, they were still in the middle of being utter trash and from the outside looking in, little reason to think thye would have turned out differently

that is,

until we traded for him

and then later on when they got Roy, it was that moment they became that great team

meh, to me it was just another 'philly mistake'; no matter the sport, they draft and tolerate people that are great indivduals but shit team players

Honestly, I would make that trade every time

There might be an ' i' in Phillly, but not in 'Team'

Ignoring his prima donna attitude that would ultimately lead him to leave Philly,
