for budgetary reasons i had to cut down the pair of 8gb ram sticks to a single one

2019-08-13 03:17:41 UTC

If ur doing the modded Minecraft thing, you might want a bit more than that.
Otherwise meh? PC gaming is all about the GPU. Has been for over a decade.

2019-08-13 03:19:20 UTC

8gb ram i would describe as "enough" SSD's do improve load times in some games (league/minecraft) but not in others (fallout 4) it has more to do with what needs done. some loads are alot of unpacking and setting up compressed data on the gfx card, and SSD will have no measureable impact. 😦

GFX Card > everything so long as... things are within reason. Like... if you have an i3 or ryzen 1300x+ great! Buf if you have a celeron or something... no so much.

2019-08-13 03:21:56 UTC

i would stick with nvidia 1060 1660 or higher...

2019-08-13 03:22:18 UTC

unless your like... just playing minecraft/league/esports

2019-08-13 03:22:22 UTC

then you can go lower 😮

2019-08-13 03:22:40 UTC

heres my core parts
GIGABYTE GTX 1050 TI 4GB
AMD RYZEN 3 3200G 4-CORE
CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 8GB SINGLE 3000MHZ

2019-08-13 03:22:47 UTC

that seems fine

2019-08-13 03:23:04 UTC

😄

2019-08-13 03:23:05 UTC

i dont care for ultra graphics i just want to at least run AAA games like cod o doody and battlefield on decent performance

2019-08-13 03:23:50 UTC

the only reason i would go above the 1050 is because its like targeted at AAA games from 2 years ago when it came out... idk how long it will hold up

2019-08-13 03:23:54 UTC

but its fine.

2019-08-13 03:24:10 UTC

especially if you allready have it :p

2019-08-13 03:24:19 UTC

AAA games are doable if you fenaggle with them a bit

2019-08-13 03:24:56 UTC

my pc is completely overkill but im not one of those people thats like "Oh you need a 2070+ or gtfo"

2019-08-13 03:24:57 UTC

for example, EAs battlefront 2 has a 2gb vram minimum to just run
i managed to launch and play some games with only an 1gb vram card

2019-08-13 03:26:03 UTC

the caveat being at super low graphics, super low frames and either crashes or just inability to load games most of the time

2019-08-13 03:27:50 UTC

I have a 5930K i7 6core-12 thread CPU running at 4.4ghz
32g Ram
1080ti
with triple 4k monitors and 1 CRT monitor
planar headset
XLR Mic
and about 3000 in studio monitors setup in surround sound 😛

2019-08-13 03:28:41 UTC

but i dont have any consoles, or a tv, or anything. 100% of my entertainment is in my PC.

2019-08-13 03:28:43 UTC

thats a bit of overkill indeed

2019-08-13 03:29:24 UTC

Iwell I way over-spent on audio stuff. because good audio stuff lasts a LONG time.

2019-08-13 03:30:14 UTC

so as long as you dont over-pay you really cant over-spend on audio at the high end. So long as you do your research and make sure you not just shelling out for a "brand" instead of just good equipment.

2019-08-13 03:31:30 UTC

well maybe not 3k... quite...

2019-08-13 03:31:54 UTC

wow okay hold on

2019-08-13 03:31:57 UTC

thats quite the investment

2019-08-13 03:31:57 UTC

let me unfuck that link

2019-08-13 03:32:09 UTC

whatever that link is fine

2019-08-13 03:32:14 UTC

i have 4 of those

2019-08-13 03:33:02 UTC

that one for the center (i got a better deal than these links)

2019-08-13 03:34:03 UTC

then you need this to clean up the audio signal from the PC since PC soundcards have a ton of noise on the line level

2019-08-13 03:34:20 UTC

then you need to ground lift them all (like 2 bucks of ground lifting plugs)

2019-08-13 03:34:40 UTC

+ all the XLR cables and 3.5mm to RCA plugs

2019-08-13 03:34:58 UTC

+ external soundcard for a volume control

2019-08-13 03:35:08 UTC

i need a better one of those to get a full effect

2019-08-13 03:35:26 UTC

im using
