Remember when the Dems were mad that Trump called MS-13 gang members "animals"?
They were outraged TWICE
When aren't they outraged
Probably when they owned slaves i guess
The media wrote stories, the Twitterati were outraged, they were proven wrong, they went quiet.
Months go by...
The media writes stories, the Twitterati is outraged and they are proven wrong, and they go quiet again...
The same fucking story
Yeah it's a tale as old as last week. Fake news doesn't work anymore.
It's as if the media doesn't want you to remember what they wrote 3 months ago
It's currently something like 80°F I'm my house b/c the HVAC is fucked up; my house is literally Buchenwald
Why did rand paul block the 9/11 responders bill
I'm going to have an anurism
Leftists are so easy to please. Just fix the right problems and take in the glory
She got an award
Next give men a ballgag with a recyclable paper bag, and youll get award for safety in multiple ways, but also green party award
better yet just kill all the africans and then youll save world hunger! since only them go hungry
says no new spending without cutting "less valuable" spending ..... seems legit
Aaaaand here's why certain libertarian "values" don't work.
the position that he's staked out is that any spending that someone isn't will to cut is them saying that it is more important than this bill
his position is pure fiscal frugality, regardless of real-world consequences
There's no excuse for this.
Of all the people this government could provide health insurance for, (like, all legal citizens, like every other fucking first world country), he makes a fucking stink over giving it to living American heroes, for however long they have left.
I don't see the problem. If he want to talk about it in the senate before passing it, that's his job.
And people wonder why most folks can't stand the ancaps.
besides, apparently the bill's timeline exceeds the possible lifespans of anyone directly effected
That's how most time-locked bills work. Better to overestimate than underestimate.
Exactly. Otherwise you have to do it all again for those who are left.
I mean, it shouldn't have been a time-locked fucking bill in the first fucking place, because these people sacrificed everything for their country when it needed them.
Seriously, what's the "reasonable" counterpoint to this?
There's a difference between being fiscally responsible, and being fiscally autistic.
^^^
timelocking is just weird.
>"were you a 1st responder in the 5 boroughs in sept 2001?"
done.
that's the supposed intent
well the specific terminology is "sunset clause"
w/e
because 'expiration date' would be too honest
Sounds reasonable to me, it's a bill that costed 4.2 billions until now, for ten years. And he wans to talk about how much it will cost until 2090, and maybe put some amendments.
The thing is going to pass anyway, why not talk about it before passing it?
