Okay, I just love this fucking video. This kind of discussion needs to be a fuck ton more prevalent than it currently is. Acknowledging where both sides of the aisle are talking out of their ass, and also where they're saying things of substance that shouldn't be ignored just because its hard to notice over the bullshit. Being someone who, himself, crawled out of the ideological morass of progressive leftism, out into the more tenable position of simply liberal-left, its very heartwarming to find such an objective analysis of these issues that, at the end of the day, hurt everyone, left or right. Personally I point to Congress and the entrenched establishment for so thoroughly ramrodding voters into a duopoly system between a party succumbing to full-scale socialist philosophy, and a party demanding blind trust of market forces driven by runaway corporate conquest.
Two-party systems are utter shit and categorizing everything in terms of "left" or "right" is destroying your country. You can't change my mind.

That's another thing - considering anyone who disagrees with you politically to be immoral. But that's a lot more widespread and *can* obviously be valid too in some cases.

I think there is a compromise that.can be had with it
Roe v wade is already the compromise. it sets a strict limit to prior to the formation of the central nervous system. Anything beyond that is up to the individual state governments to legislate.
My idea is to have the ability to have an abortion before the "fetus" or unborn wouldbe child has grown enough to develop pain receptors. That way they dont suffer and it puts more emphasise on and responsibility on the women to get checked
and then there's the Heidt ammendment, which bars tax money from funding the procedure

Because to restrict it would necessitate state enforcement, and I can't in good conscience allow the state (and sure as shit not he church) to so directly interfere in what is almost incontrovertably the most intimate decision a couple could make.
