ill grant you its easy to walk around a wall but statistically the crime rates drop in the area immediately behind the wall

because

if you have a town at spot A

and the wall extends 1000 miles out to spot B

they have to walk over to spot B

m8, if town is spot A, and the wall extends **from** spot A **to** spot B, that's not an obstruction, that's a road line

i drove all the way across that border on my way from florida to cali

maybe dot that space with outposts and motor pools for border patrol...?

if you're talking about the same stretch of land I'm thinking of, that's all federal land anyway

thats a lot of manpower, and they do have patrols already

they catch and release people all the time, multiple times

they catch the same guys 6+ times in a row

well if they're being caught, what's the problem?

sometimes they dont get caught

and sometimes they rape a child to death

mostly they just sell oranges in california

extreme examples won't incense me to your cause

the vast majority of "undocumented immigrants" stand around at my local home depot and gas stations so they can earn 10-15 bucks an hour laying bricks, then they send that money back to mexico without paying any taxes

besides, now with a compliant Mexican government, they'll start shouldering their weight on the matter

a wall at mexico's southern border would be more practical

they actually have one iirc
